23 homeless families arriving at our shelter’s front door with garbage bags filled with their only life’s belongings. Dragging bags and bags with children in tow. 

School Years 1968-69

Hundreds of students marching out from Bushwick High School and walking miles and miles in support of students’ rights.

Watching police officers try to get students to return to school.

Pushing, pulling, baton swinging, screaming and running to safety.

Third World Party was formed.
