I came from Puerto Rico when I was 19 years old. I was the youngest of twelve brothers and sisters. But I wanted to experience New York and what it was like to be independent.

My daughter’s success is my greatest happiness. She grew up in Bushwick and is married and I have a grandson.

Sadly, the death of my father and mother are my saddest moments.
