Linda Mc Kinley

In Oct. 1964, my family moved to Bushwick, Brooklyn, the house was not big, in the late 60’s “Say it Loud, I’m Black & I’m Proud” started, I was attending school at Bushwick High.

The 70’s started drugs with and fire, burned out buildings for complete blocks, and it stayed this way for many years.

I was the first female to be commissioned a Deacon in Brooklyn. I am the church Secretary, I serve on the Community Board, and I am very active with our Youth Program which has met every Friday for about 15 yrs.
